College Credit Plus is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides every student in the state of Ohio the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking CCP course(s). This program aims to enhance students’ career readiness and postsecondary success while providing a wide variety of options to college-ready students, at no cost.
Toronto students can finish their Associate of Arts for Transfer without leaving the building. We have 25 College Credit Plus courses taught by our own Toronto teachers for a total of 88 credit hours. This can be a huge cost savings for families.
Due to the Ohio Revised Code, secondary schools must provide information on the administrative rules of Course Eligibility (OAC 3333-1-65.12) and Underperforming Students (OAC 3333-1-65.13). All parents who have a student currently taking College Credit Plus must attend this meeting yearly as well as new students who will be enrolled in a CCP course(s). This will ensure that students and parents are fully aware of the benefits and possible consequences of participation.
In addition, paperwork must be completed after the counseling sessions including a Letter of Intent to Participate submitted to Toronto High School by April 1. Contact Mrs. Brown, to find out how they handle this process. This must be done before applying for CCP course(s).
