Toronto Alumni Service Award
Mrs. Toni Calabrese was the 2023 recipient of the THS Alumni Service Award. Mrs. Calabrese has worked for the Toronto City School District for 25 years. In 1998, she began her career as a substitute secretary. From 2006-2008, she worked as a special education instructional aide before accepting her current position as Secretary to the Dean of Students. Mrs. Calabrese is a 1978 THS graduate. The THS Alumni Service Award for a non-teaching staff member was established by the THS Alumni Association in 2018 to recognize the non-teaching staff members’ outstanding contributions to quality education. Non-teaching school employees offer essential services to the school community and play a vital role in providing for the welfare, safety, and success of students. Past winners of the award include Cindy Hritz, Katie Long, Holly Newbold, Cheryl King, Becky Kovach, and Lisa Owen. The 2023 Alumni Service Award is being presented to Toni Calabrese.
