Class of 1960 Reunion and Friends Weekend – July 3 & 4, 2010
The Class of 1950 held their “Sixtieth Reunion” the weekend of September 24th and 25th.

The THS Class of 1950 recently gathered in Toronto for its 60th reunion, 24 classmates who matriculated through the halls of academics, athletics, music and scholarship endeavors were in attendance. A committee, composed of Ella Stevens Benton, Madge Mudron DeJulio, Ruth Ann Campbell Devlin, Dolores Argentine Graceffa, Joan Ferguson Hindman, Nancy McKelvey Lewis, Jim Malloy, and Jody Milby Popejoy, organized three days of festivities to commemorate this milestone occurrence. The three day affair began with dinner on Friday, September 24 at Jane Fisher’s home followed by all going to the Red Knight’s football game and watching their team win. On Saturday, the group assembled at The Boathouse Restaurant & Marina for a dinner and a wonderful walk down memory lane. Jim Malloy and Madonna Smith Baker invited many of those in attendance to join them in remembering their days at THS. A revelation of happenings was shared by all, with humor and laughter being the highlight of the well organized program. Madonna Baker and Moe O’Brien worked very hard contacting classmates to bring or send these memory stories to share. On Sunday, the class enjoyed a brunch at the First Presbyterian Church. After a short program, many hugs were exchanged by all as the classmates began to depart. It should be noted that many professions were represented ie…teachers, engineers, physicians, professors, military pilots, pharmacists and last but not least, spouses who were the team members that encouraged and assisted their significant others to become leaders in whatever endeavors they pursued. The Class of 1950 is proud of their heritage, their hometown and all in attendance reflected on how fortunate they were to have grown up in Toronto.
