At Toronto Elementary School, we are proud to offer a comprehensive Literacy program using myView, Heggerty Phonics Awareness Program, and Wilson Fundations. This 120-minute daily literacy class provides students with a solid foundation in phonics and strategic reading comprehension skills. At Toronto Jr.-Sr. High School, students are provided with an array of course offerings. There are over 30 semester hours of college credit available from our own adjunct professors at the school campus in the areas of English, Spanish, Mathematics, Science, and Art.
Students are given the opportunity to participate in several enrichment activities such as Destination Imagination, the Science Fair, and the Close-Up Program. The district has an array of extracurricular activities including academic honor societies, civic organizations, school athletics, and the arts (band, choir, musical, art club).
